27th January 2008 The time 10:07pm, and I sit in front of the computer writing this news article with our CD and 'Fire' playing. The day began at 10am setting up the drums and finding the bass and guitar sound that we wanted. With this track we wanted to try and achieve as close to our live sound as we possibly could. Playing together was an essential element and after 5 takes we had our backbone. With a few overdubs and layering of guitar tracks it was time to lay down the vocals. Finally finding the correct attack for the verses the bridge and chorus' came along naturally. We left Elliott to do the mix in peace whilst we first finished off watching the Man Utd v Tottenham game, so close. We then found a pool hall around the corner and had our own Grand Slam Sunday - North vs South. Harrow vs Southside. Dan 'The Angle Man' Chandler showing the way. Returning to find 'Fire' mixed we listened and made a few tweaks, bounced it down and mastered it. All in all a good day.
