History
	Allison Barkley is a solo musician who lives on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada. She is an alternative roots musician who has been writing for many years. Allison quickly gained attention from her peers, record producers, magazines, independent film makers, podcasts, as well as independent and university radio stations in Canada and abroad. She has been written up in Mundo Rock Magazine in Mexico City, where her music is appreciated for it's, "very old and beautiful tradition". Allison has a unique, soulful approach to a genre that is very much her own.
Allison is currently recording her first CD with a recording/multi-media artist from Ontario, Canada. She is recording her CD at a small cabin in the woods, on the Sunshine Coast until the end of October. Allison has had offers from a few different distribution companies but has not decided on one at this time. Most of the songs on her upcoming CD were written between 1998 to 2004 and deal with human compassion and the constant search for meaning in ourselves and life.

Allison spent much of her life painting, film making, traveling and writing and has been involved in the arts her entire life. She began taking music seriously last year when she felt her writing had developed to the point where she felt comfortable making it public for the first time. She is constantly striving to become a well-rounded musician and writer and takes her craft seriously. Allison has been praised by many people for her writing, unique voice and style and she looks forward to completing her CD and beginning her next project, in which she will be releasing her more current songs and writing.
